MCEF: Mission and Activities

The Miller Community Education Foundation (MCEF) provides resources to Miller Middle school to promote excellence in education. The focus of MCEF is Curriculum Enrichment, Equipment & Technology Support and Infrastructure support.

MCEF board would like to thank all the parents for making 2013-2014 a record year for MCEF. For this academic year, MCEF has supported the following areas at Miller:

  • Curriculum Enrichment: MCEF has provided funds to various departments at Miller to bridge the budget shortfall for Instructional supplies.
  • Technology Support: MCEF has provided funds to Miller for 15 Document Cameras, new laptop carts and staff training on new technology to roll out 21st century technology program at Miller.
  • Equipment Support: MCEF has provided funds to buy equipment and lab consumables in various areas like Science, Math and Physical Education.
  • Criterion web based writing assessment program for language arts department: This program helps students in grammar, usage, mechanics and organization skills.
  • EPGY: Site license from Stanford University for a program that provides assistance/support for our struggling math students.
  • Teacher Assessment Program: Professional development program for teachers.
  • Miller Power Hour: After-school homework support for struggling students.
